Chop Wood, Carry Balloons
Co-founder of Chop Wood, Carry Balloons, a production company in Los Angeles. Over the course of his career, he’s followed his curiosity and passion for story on an eclectic, non-linear adventure through journalism, law, emerging technology, and entertainment, living in 20 cities, 10 states, and 4 countries along the way. Chris began his pursuit of story as a news anchor and Emmy-nominated journalist. He covered the 2008 Iowa Caucuses and the general election before attending Duke Law School. While at Duke, Chris produced Forced Out, a short doc about Haiti’s post-earthquake housing rights. After Duke, he practiced white-collar defense, representing Fortune 100 companies and global financial institutions before co-founding a SaaS company and launching NLand Surf Park in Austin, Texas. At NLand, he partnered with brands like RVCA and Yeti and collaborated with the New York Times, ESPN, Vice, Surfer Magazine, and many more. NLand was acquired by the World Surf League last year.
