Senior Vice President & General Manager, Media and Entertainment, Industry Cloud Solutions
Richard is SAP’s General Manager for the Media Industry. He oversees the global Media business and leads the go to market activities for SAP. His particular focus currently is using helping media companies maximize the opportunities in a direct to consumer world and leveraging big data to enrich the Media consumers’ engagement with the brands.
Prior to joining SAP, Richard has worked as Partner in management consulting for IBM Global Business Services (part of IBM’s acquisition of PwC Consulting), and PricewaterhouseCoopers in the CRM and Media practice areas.
During his career, Richard has worked with many global household names in the media industry. He has a broad cross-functional background and cross industry experience base with in Sales, Services, Marketing, Solution Management and Operations. He spent 3 years in Healthcare, and 5 years in Consumer Financial Services, American Express both in the UK and US.
When not at work, Richard is the proud father of two daughters, passionate about raising money for the Challenged Athletes Foundation, co-chairs their cycling events, having ridden his bike 8 times from San Francisco to San Diego. He also rides for cancer research, riding the Pedal the Cause ride for the last two years.
Richard is based in the Los Angeles area in the US.
