Position Summary:

Sony Corporation of America (SCA), is seeking a Manager, Program Management to join the Electronics Information Security in Herndon, VA. This position will report to the Senior Manager and be a part of the team responsible for the program management function that enables the planning and execution of an enterprise information security strategy across Electronics Information Security. In addition to managing projects related to the above areas, this position will also support other strategic security initiatives in alignment with the goals and mission set forth by the Electronics Information Security .

Responsibilities:

Be a proactive problem solver focused on providing expert advice not only across the Program Management domain, but also across general areas where support may be required to accomplish the mission
Work with leadership teams to articulate and develop objective, goals, and strategies for Electronics and Japan across security organizations
Ensure program (or programs) are delivered on defined scope, schedule and budget by collaborating with cross functional matrix teams (Technical, Operations, Engineering, SOC, Privacy, Risk, and Procurement, among others)
Provide program operation support for the Electronics Information Security program
Responsible for standardization and automation of applicable processes as it relates to the overall mission
Help the overall program by managing project plans, cross-functional stakeholders, and deliverable
Effectively communicate program/project objectives, status, risks and mitigation plans with senior stakeholders and executives
Create and manage performance metrics across a variety of information security projects
Coordinate multi-location meetings and presentation preparation
Understand the variety of business projects and engage with the representatives from the respective Electronics Information Security Program and Global Function teams to apply streamlined processes
Implement PMO standards and processes (PPM tool)

Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Project Management /program(IT or cyber security projects preferred but not required)
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Engineering, Computer Science, Management, or a related field, or other equivalent experience
Knowledge of cyber security disciplines is preferred
Japanese speaking/writing is highly desired but not required
Experience in working at international environments is a plus
Strong bias for action and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with strong ability to prioritize and respond to critical tasks, organize and schedule work effectively
PMP certification is a plus
Strong facilitation, communication and advocacy skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to express complex and technical issues
MS suite (office, excel, and powerpoint)
Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required, up to 10%
