As a Lead Data Scientist in our Artificial Intelligence and Advanced Analytics Practice for the UK market, you will take a senior technical position within an interdisciplinary, highly motivated and growing team of Industry Consultants, Data Scientists, Cognitive Computing Experts and Solution Architects.
Your role:
No two assignments will be the same – and you will typically be involved from shaping an initial client opportunity through to sales and providing technical leadership in delivery. You will be working with the client to understand their problem; collecting data and analysing it; specifying, building, using or implementing a model or presenting insights from your analysis and recommendations to the client. You will take responsibility for providing methodological and technical subject matter expertise around advanced and large-scale data analysis.
This will comprise identification and assessment of advanced analytics use cases; application of statistical approaches to analytical problems; rapid execution of analyses on structured and unstructured data incl. data preparation, analytical modelling and evaluation; as well as advising on the integration of advanced analytics approaches in larger analytical architectures.
You will provide thought leadership around emerging technologies and concepts in data science. Through your experience to date you will have gained expertise that would make you the go-to person for particular topics in advanced analytics or artificial intelligence and you will be expected to lead our data science presence in a particular industry.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Experience building and leading teams
Proven experience as consultant, data scientist or analyst, you’ll be used to working with client business functions on various levels.
Quantitative and analytical expertise that covers statistics, machine learning / data mining, experimentation methodology and operations research
Strong, demonstrable hands-on experience in applying Data Science tools and frameworks (e.g. Python, R) and in applying Statistics, Data Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence.
Hands-on experience in conducting analyses on unstructured/ structured/ or semi-structured data. Understanding of modern data management technologies and concepts (e.g. Relational Databases / SQL, NoSQL, Apache Spark, Apache Flink, Apache Kafka).
Expertise in advanced analytics use cases in one or more dedicated industries.
Strong communication skills and business acumen,

Have exposure to Solution Architecture & development
