Dev Ops Build & Release Engineer

As a DevOps / Build & Release Engineer, you will have an opportunity to develop and drive our build and release process. You will be responsible for improving and maintaining our current build process and bringing it to the next level. You will design, architect, and implement tools to help optimize our engineering workflow. The candidate hired for this position will be part of an engineering team based in San Francisco that works with innovative technologies in a fast-paced and creative environment. Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain build platforms, packaging, deployment, testing and releases.
Resolve build issues.
Manage source code,change control, configuration management, and build deployment activities.
Submit and maintain apps on Apple and Google app stores.
Deploy and maintain server-side applications and services on AWS development and production environments.
Automated creation of release notes.

To be Successful

The successful candidate will have prior experience with driving the build and release process for consumer electronics. Your experience contributing to the build and release management will be important. Experience with app store submission and AWS deployment will be valuable. Understanding the tools needed for continuous integration will be essential.

You will need to work effectively in a highly technical cross functional global environment interfacing directly with various technical leaders across Dolby.

Other Essential Skills Include

3+ years of relevant work experience.
Advanced experience with Git source code management system.
Experience with branching strategies and best practices.
Strong experience in scripting languages, particularly Python and Bash.
Work in a cross-platform environment like Linux/macOS/Windows.
Hands-on experience managing deployments in AWS cloud infrastructure platform.
Hands-on experience submitting iOS and Android apps to the Apple and Google app stores.
Experience with developing continuous integration systems (preferably Electric Commander)
Experience with Xcode and Android Studio.
Experience with Poky build system is a plus.
Experience with Docker is a plus.
Experience with Perforce is a plus.
Experience with the npm package manager is a plus.
