September 13, 2019 @ 8:00 am - 10:00 am CEST

Industry Briefing: International Content Distribution & Technology Update

W Hotel, Spuistraat 175, 1012 VN Amsterdam, Netherlands
13th September 2019 (From 8 to 10 a.m.)

Once again MESA Europe will host a pre-IBC breakfast meeting for members and invited guests with the opportunities and challenges presented by the growth in international content distribution sitting at the heart of the morning discussion.

For sixth consecutive year, MESA Europe will host one of its “must attend” industry briefing meetings during IBC. This year once again just before the show floor opens, members and invited guests will have the chance to focus on some of the opportunities and challenges the industry needs to embrace in the global content arena.

The expansion in distribution platforms has been a key catalyst in driving international content demand in recent years, encouraging the adoption of new approaches and systems, many of which are underpinned by the deployment and development of new technology solutions.

The topics to be covered during this morning briefing session will include managing international content rights, localisation and international compliance challenges as well as metadata, discoverability and audience analytics, all in the context of a changing market and competitive environment.

Attendees will gain informed insights and share some interesting real use case examples of what is involved, the pitfalls to avoid and the ways in which technology can assist in helping to fulfil the expectations of the industry.

It will also provide an opportunity for participants to start shaping their IBC focus and to hear about some of the innovations to look out for on the show floor.
