Nancy Silver is a Principal Solutions Architect for MarkLogic. Her work focuses on providing strategic and technical leadership to MarkLogic’s Media & Entertainment practice in the areas of content strategy, next generation content and metadata workflows, data management, and governance.
Prior to MarkLogic, Nancy served as a media and entertainment industry strategist for Pivotal, Verizon Digital Media Services, Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences and E! Entertainment Television where she led and implemented digital asset and data management solutions. Nancy is a published author and has presented at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, HITS/MESA events, Library of Congress, vNAB, and SMPTE – Society of Motion Picture Television Engineers. She is the principal author of Long-Term Management and Storage of Digital Motion Picture Materials: A Digital Motion Picture Archive Framework Project Case Study for the Library of Congress and the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences. Nancy holds a Master’s degree in Library and Information Science from the University of South Florida.
