NASA JPL Discussion to Take Smart Content Summit Out of This World

It takes a lot to pull off live-streaming well for a major tech organization. Imagine how much work is involved when those live streams are coming from space.

At the March 4 Smart Content Summit in L.A., Randi Levin, CIO for NASA’s Jet Propulsion Lab (JPL) will give attendees unique insights into how her team manages to juggle all the technology needed to keep JPL’s part of NASA’s space missions running smoothly, in the keynote presentation “Mars Madness: A Data-Driven, Real-Life Drama.”

A former CTO for the City of Los Angeles, Levin brings more than 30 years of IT experience to her job, with previous stints as CIO for Cast & Crew and Forest Lawn, VP of worldwide corporate systems for NBCUniversal and the Walt Disney Co., and more.

Her presentation — with Eric Iverson, CTO and CIO of Iverson Consulting interviewing — will bring the Smart Content Summit’s discussions into perspective, with the goal inspiring attendees with data innovations that fuel the interstellar evolution of smart content.

The Smart Hollywood Summit is sponsored by Tape Ark and Seagate, Whip Media Group, EIDR, BeBanjo, Cinelytic, Frame.io, Pixelogic, Sohonet, Sony and Spherex, and produced by the Media & Entertainment Services Alliance (MESA) and the Smart Content Council, which meets regularly to share best practices, evaluate emerging technologies and collaborate to accelerate the pace of transformation in our industry.
