Dave Abbitt, Fox21 Television Studios

Dave Abbitt is Vice President of Production Accounting for Fox21 Television Studios, a subsidiary of Twentieth Century Fox Entertainment. There, he oversees all aspects of production finance and accounting for its cable and streaming series productions, including, Ryan Murphy’s, “American Crime Story,” on F/X, Showtime’s “Homeland,” and, “The Americans,” also on F/X.

A Los Angeles native, Dave began his varied career at the Walt Disney Studios, working as a production assistant on the back-lot in 1990 under the tutelage of Joe Roth, Marty Katz, and Bruce Hendricks.

He went on to gain credits as a production accountant, line producer, and producer on over twenty-five film and television projects.

Dave became Director of Production in 2008 for fledgling broadcast cable sports network WCSN (later Universal Sports), producing its Emmy-nominated coverage of the 2008 Beijing Paralympic Games, and he remained with the company until leaving to found Koda Entertainment in 2010.
As President and CEO of Koda Entertainment, he financed and produced the company’s first title, “Best Man Down,” and co-financed the Red Crown Productions film “What Maisie Knew,” an official selection of the 2012 Toronto International Film Festival.

He joined Fox21 Television Studios in 2014. Dave is a member of the Producer’s Guild, and the Television Academy.
