HITS Fall: LiveTiles Tech Director Offers Microsoft Office 365 Insights

Any media and entertainment office today needs to strike a balance: Your team needs to be productive and engaged, but also creative and agile. And while there’s a need to centralize and secure information across your organization, you also need to promote a culture of collaboration.

David Salter, director of technology solutions for intelligent workplace software firm LiveTiles, sees at least one solution: there are ways to create an agile, digital workplace by leveraging Microsoft Office 365, and all it has to offer.

“Learn about how Office 365 can be used to solve common problems in the M&E industry, with specific examples of clients in M&E that we have solved problems for,” Salter said of his upcoming Oct. 3 breakout presentation — “How to Create an Agile Digital Workplace with Your Existing Investment in O365” — at HITS Fall in Los Angeles.

His session will provide real business use cases from media and entertainment organizations using Microsoft Office 365, with practical examples of common challenges in the industry, and how they can be resolved with existing Microsoft technology. The session will also include a LiveTiles product demo.

“We hope attendees come away with awareness of how technologies they likely already own can solve common problems in the M&E industry, and awareness that solutions are closer than they think: things can be done quicker, cheaper and with less risk these days than ever before,” Salter said.

HITS Fall is presented by Entertainment Partners, with sponsorship by Genpact, Variety Business Intelligence, edgescan, LiveTiles, MarkLogic, the Entertainment ID Registry (EIDR), Signiant, Cinelytic, Microsoft Azure, Richey May Technology Solutions and Comcast Technology Solutions.

The event is produced by the Media & Entertainment Services Alliance (MESA) and the Hollywood IT Society (HITS), in association with Women in Technology: Hollywood (WiTH); the Content Delivery & Security Association (CDSA); and the Smart Content Council.
