And while there are all sorts of challenges unique to technology, above all it takes the right talent — and the right environments to evolve that talent — to get past those hurdles.
Hollywood’s CIOs and top technology minds — the group charged with bringing the industry into a new era, and finding the right people to make it happen — will be out in force Oct. 3, when the Hollywood IT Society’s biggest event returns to Los Angeles, bringing its “Tech Takes Talent” theme to the annual Hollywood Innovation and Technology (HITS) Fall event, being held at the Skirball Cultural Center.
What new technologies are impacting our individual approaches to data gathering and learning? How do you recruit the best people out there, while retaining the best you already have? In what ways can you implement new processes that make people the central driver of digital innovation? How can you both use and go beyond data and technology to get your storytellers and technologists on the same page? This year’s HITS Fall program will address these questions and more.
Keynoters, panelists and the popular HITS Innovation & Technology breakout session series will explore major technology shifts in how traditional IT is transforming metadata, programming, productions, and direct-to-consumer offerings. In conjunction with HITS Fall, Women in Technology: Hollywood (WiTH) will hold its Women’s SoCal Leadership event — with the theme “Resilience and Risk Taking – Keys to Success” —featuring a keynote by Susan O’Day, EVP of enterprise technology and CIO of The Walt Disney Company.
