10 DAM Specialists Take the Stage Sept. 9 for Take the DAM(n) Tour

The Media & Entertainment Services Alliance (MESA) brings back its popular Take the DAM(n) Tour (TTDT) event this month, with two days of guided tours of the latest media management provider offerings in the industry.

Now in its seventh year, TTDT — which is available to content owners and MESA members — will see MESA’s content solutions strategists lead attendees through the offerings of nearly a dozen companies each day, most who were set to showcase their DAM services on the IBC Show floor this year.

Here’s a brief look what attendees can expect from the presenters — RSG Media, IBM, Whip Media Group, Vubiquity, Signiant, Sony Electronics, Caringo, Veritone, Digital Bedrock and KlarisIP — during the Sept. 9 tour, beginning at 16:00 CEST:

RSG Media

RSG will share ideas on how to accelerate the value of digital asset management and content production cycle with machine learning and AI, especially in context of the impact of the pandemic.

IBM

IBM will share the trends and obstacles in the asset management space as it sees it, and share examples of how its IBM Spectrum Storage technology has been used to provide reliable performance and cost-efficiency.

Whip Media Group

Whip Media will tackle how to accelerate automation in the content supply chain during massive social shifts, examining the impact of limited or no automation across key areas of the content supply chain.

Vubiquity

Vubiquity will look at how consumer demand and market dynamics are dramatically shifting content distribution timelines (including the growing popularity of global day and date releases), and how technology solutions must rapidly evolve to meet the need.

Signiant

Signiant will share how its Media Shuttle solution is the perfect MAM companion, used alongside MAM for work-in-progress content that isn’t ready for DAM, in order to collaborate with outside resources.

Sony Electronics

Sony will present an overview of the Sony Ci cloud-based media management and collaboration platform, with a spotlight on the new Ci Catalogue offering for enterprise media management.

Caringo

From production to delivery to long-term preservation, Caringo will share how it helps M&E organisations store what they need, ensure media integrity and keep assets online and accessible for reuse and monetisation.

Veritone

Veritone will focus on the importance of secure access to content, highlighting how Veritone Digital Media Hub takes DAM to another level with AI-powered content, eCommerce functionality, custom branding, broadcast-quality file support, scalability, and more.

Digital Bedrock

Digital Bedrock will showcase how it securely preserves clients’ digital content through a combination of complex managed actions, active metadata, dark storage, and object storage technologies.

KlarisIP

The KlarisIP presentation will focus on how studios and media publishers look to archival footage to fill the content void that has resulted from the pandemic, and how they can mine their archives to create new content packages, as well as the potential hurdles they might will encounter around rights, technology, and access.

Each stop the tour will explore the technology, review capabilities, discuss challenges, and examine current trends in the asset management space. Tour participants will have their questions answered by experts and explore the solutions that complement their company’s overall content strategy.
