Cognizant Aug. 5 Webinar Examines Agile Software Realities

Late last year, Andres Angelani, CEO of Cognizant Softvision, published the book “Transforming While Performing: How To Create A Culture of Innovation With Partners,” offering up a roadmap on how to effectively execute a digital transformation that prioritises the customer.

The feedback from companies and executives on the book around how they could better nurture a culture of innovation and discover mutually productive partnerships was welcome, as Angelani heard that his work “appropriately covered what [digital transformation] entails and how to get the most out of the experience.”

During a free Aug. 5 webinar — “Agility Done Remote? Software Product Engineering in a Virtual World” — Angelani will discuss how just how much has changed since his book first published, and how the global pandemic has added to the challenges around building software in a fully distributed world.

“Seemingly overnight, we were thrust into stay-at-home orders and remote work environments,” he said. “I’d been saying for years that one day all organisations would be technology companies, but I never imagined that it would happen to everyone on the same day. Together, we’ve learned to operate in a new normal, and run business via Zoom, email and other platforms from the confines of home offices and remote work environments.”

Attendees of the webinar will learn how media and entertainment companies can achieve modern agility, and how the cultural and operational foundations that Cognizant has built into its software delivery organisation are geared toward overcome helping transform the internal cultures of the M&E organisations the company works with.

The webinar will explore Cognizant’s community-based model, detail the benefits of “virtual pods,” offer insights into the company’s Agile Acceleration Platform (dubbed “Game of Pods”) and share real-world stories of how the company is helping M&E clients manage the challenges they’re facing today.
