Darktrace Extends Enterprise Immune System Services (MESA)

Cybersecurity AI firm Darktrace has announced a new collection of products and features geared toward extending its Enterprise Immune System platform to video and chat apps, endpoints, Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) applications, as well as identity and access management integrations, all in order to protect remote and dynamic work environments.

The new capabilities include clients sensors that extend visibility and detection to remote workers, on or off VPN; Microsoft 365, Teams, SharePoint and Zoom visibility and detection modules; SaaS-specific AI models and cloud console to protect against data theft and insider threat; and email security modules for Microsoft 365 and G Suite.

Additionally, Darktrace customers will now have access to integrations with Okta adaptive multifactor authentication and zero-trust solutions Zscaler Private Access (ZPA) and Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA).

“As organizations reassess their working model in the months ahead, many are looking at how they can improve visibility and controls,” said J.R. Tietsort, Darktrace’s CISO for the Americas. “Extending the Enterprise Immune System to endpoints with client sensors, and then further integrating with Okta and Zscaler, enables security teams to keep pace even as workforces change their patterns of behavior.

“Insider threat continues to be a risk area, so adding extra visibility and detection to collaboration environments like Microsoft 365 enables security teams to understand the full picture, regardless of workforce location.”

Darktrace’s Enterprise Immune System works by learning the patterns of work for any workforce, with AI-enabled adaptations making day-to-day adjustments to new work environment, automating and augmenting security teams.
