Sohonet Examines How ClearView Flex, Moxion Immediates Help Off-Set Productions (MESA)

In a new blog post, connectivity and data management services specialist Sohonet examines post-pandemic production workflows and the tools helping connect remote units and facilitate off-set creative participation.

Looking specifically at the benefits involved with the combination of Sohonet ClearView Flex and Moxion Immediates — a partnership announced earlier this month — the blog maps a way forward for the production industry, one that’s reliant on digital collaboration and careful pre-planning.

“There’s been much discussion about the benefits of both synchronous and asynchronous communication in our newly distributed world,” the blog reads. “Synchronous communication provides the instant back-and-forth response needed for creative ideation and to get an idea of your team’s real-time response in the review process. But in many scenarios an offline or asynchronous communication approach can be efficient, allowing everyone involved to get to the work at a time that suits them and is less disruptive to their workflow. This is particularly pertinent in some production use-cases where on-set shooting cannot be interrupted.”

Additionally, in a separate blog post this week, Sohonet CEO and chairman Chuck Parker details how HBO’s latest season of “Westworld” was finished remotely with creatives working from home using ClearView Flex, and teases upcoming upgrades to the platform, covering increased color bit depth, color chroma, color space, and audio channels.
