‘M&E Europe’ Newsletter Relaunches as MESA Goes Global

Beginning today, subscribers to the “M&E Europe” newsletter will see a redesigned look for the publication, expanded coverage of European media and entertainment news, and a prioritization of original industry content from the MESA Europe membership.

The new editions of “M&E Europe” — now publishing every Monday, Wednesday and Friday — reflect a global shift for the Media & Entertainment Services Alliance (MESA), with MESA Europe’s membership being combined with MESA’s U.S. membership, creating a 150-plus member company organization, with a worldwide focus on driving efficiencies and advancing new technologies that enable the digital transformation of media and entertainment.

“As the world continues to adapt and manage the response to the COVID-19 pandemic it is critical for us to be connected in ways we didn’t dream were possible at the beginning of this year,” said Guy Finley, President & CEO of MESA. “I’m excited to introduce our European constituency to MESA as a global alliance and community engagement platform where we continue to work closely with content owners and other industry partners toward aligning and defining the supply chain across data, IT and Security. It starts with our newsletter and website but you’ll see more changes as the integration continues.”

Along with the newsletter redesign and focus on MESA member’s transformative technologies, MESA today is announcing a “save-the-date” for the first-annual “Global Media & Entertainment Day” being hosted live from London, the afternoon of Thursday, 2 July, as an online virtual event.

Global M&E Day’s main stage programme features both the “Smart Content Summit”, with a special focus on localization, AI and ML tools that are streamlining the entertainment supply chain, as well as CDSA’s “Content Protection Summit” that looks at entertainment content protection and information security in today’s streaming economy. Session and breakout sessions draw technology experts from the media and entertainment space weighing in on the latest solutions for — and the challenges facing — the industry in today’s secure, cloud-enabled, platform integrated, remote-access work environment.
