Both on the main stage and during a breakout session March at the at the Smart Content Summit in L.A., Tobias Queisser, co-founder and CEO of Cinelytic, will get a unique insight into streaming demand and the audiences using OTT content.
“Smart Content Summit attendees will get an insight into how illegal online P2P based file sharing data of film and TV content is a great proxy for digital OTT consumption with 90 percent correlation across all platforms,” Queisser said. “In essence, global illegal demand for content mirrors legal demand. Further, I will show that by correlating the P2P IP addresses with demographic data, Cinelytic can provide detailed audience profiles for all films and episodic shows in the U.S.”
His main stage presentation — “Smart Data: Streaming Demand & Audiences Decoded!” will show how research across various data sets have found that illegal online, P2P-based file sharing data of content shows correlations across all platforms, and by correlating the P2P IP addresses with demographic data, content owners can discover detailed audience profiles, regardless of the content distributor or platform.
Those real-time insights can inform packaging, financing, buying, selling and marketing content opportunities.
Then, during the breakout session “Streaming Demand & Audiences Decoded: Deep Dive,” Queisser will share how those insights enable a deeper understanding of what global audiences want and how to target them effectively.
The Smart Content Summit is sponsored by Tape Ark and Seagate, Whip Media Group, EIDR, BeBanjo, Cinelytic, Frame.io, Pixelogic, Sohonet, Sony and Spherex, and produced by the Media & Entertainment Services Alliance (MESA) and the Smart Content Council, which meets regularly to share best practices, evaluate emerging technologies and collaborate to accelerate the pace of transformation in our industry.
