DXC Technology Adds Drumgoole as CIO, EVP (HITS)

DXC Technology has brought on board longtime IT industry vet Chris Drumgoole as its CIO and EVP, the seventh addition to DXC president and CEO Mike Salvino’s leadership team since he took over in September.

Drumgoole will be charged with leading DXC’s global IT strategy and operations, and tasked with helping the company exceed the technology needs of its customers. His team will be responsible for running DXC’s technology operations, integrating and streamlining systems, and implementing new digital capabilities.

“We’re pleased to add someone with the experience and capabilities Chris brings,” Salvino said. “In his role as CIO, Chris will deploy the same core capabilities that DXC delivers for its clients. In doing this, he will showcase the advantages of a focused strategy based on DXC’s enterprise technology stack — and the impact it can have on customers, people and operational execution.”

With more than 20 years’ experience in the digital and IT industry, Drumgoole most recently served as CIO at GE, where he led that company’s global tech operations, including applications, infrastructure and related shared services. He also served as CTO for GE before his CIO role.

Drumgoole came over to GE from Verizon, where he served as COO of Verizon’s Terremark subsidiary, a cloud, hosting, and data center provider.

“I’m excited to join a team that’s committed to digital technologies that can bring performance, efficiency and security to DXC and its customers,” Drumgoole said. “I look forward to making our IT operation a case study for what can be accomplished through strategic insight and innovation across the technology stack.”

Drumgoole currently serves on the board of directors of PetSmart, on the advisory board of Florida International University’s College of Engineering and Computing, and as a member of the board of directors of ONUG, a forum for IT business leaders.
