Illumio Continues Big Growth in APAC, Plans New Channel Program (HITS)

Illumio announced a massive 325% growth in APAC employee headcount and a 300% growth in customers since its expansion into the region in 2018, including Cathay Pacific, IXOM and QBE. As demand for Illumio’s security segmentation technology increases in APAC, the company also announced the commencement of formal Asia Pacific channel operations. The channel program will be headed by industry veteran, Carlo Nizeti.

Carlo is Illumio’s first APAC Channel Technical Sales Director, joining from enterprise cloud computing vendor Nutanix. He will be based out of the regional Illumio headquarters in Sydney, Australia.

“APAC is a very diverse region, with a wide range of needs and differing levels of technology adoption,” said Anup Singh, CFO of Illumio. “Our continued growth in this region underscores the fact that security-segmentation is foundational to the security of global businesses and regional business leaders. As we expand operations globally, APAC will remain a key growth region for us in 2020.”

The new channel partner program will initially focus on developing strong relationships with value-added resellers (VARs) in Australia, Singapore and Hong Kong. Carlo Nizeti is confident that Illumio’s security segmentation technology will prove a powerful disruptive force that VARs will leverage to disrupt the current cybersecurity status quo.

“I have a history of working with businesses that have truly disruptive products. For channel partners, staying ahead of the curve and embracing disruption is vital in order to continue to deliver value for their customers. Illumio’s security segmentation technology is a prime example of a solution that radically changes how businesses should approach cybersecurity. I’m looking forward to working with the channel partners who are wanting to challenge the status quo with us,” said Carlo Nizeti, Illumio Channel Technical Sales Director, APAC.

“Illumio is leading the way by providing CISOs and CIOs with the tools required to prevent the spread of breaches inside any data centre or cloud environment, and the company’s expansion in APAC opens many possibilities” said Kurt Hansen, CEO of Pure Security. “Regardless of region, cybersecurity has been elevated to a top boardroom priority and we’re pleased to partner with an organisation that is at the forefront of innovative thinking in this space.”
