Sila Solutions Cybersecurity Team Joins EY, Strengthening Identity, Access Management Capabilities (MESA)

Ernst & Young announced that the cybersecurity team of Sila Solutions has joined EY US to augment and expand EY offerings in the areas of identity governance and administration, privileged access management, cyber risk assessment, privacy/data protection and third-party risk management.

Sila’s capabilities will complement those of EY US, which today help businesses intelligently transform and modernize in a highly secure manner.

Sila’s cybersecurity team comprises experienced technical professionals operating primarily out of Arlington, VA, and Chicago, IL. This team will be joining the EY US Cybersecurity Practice.

“Every organization is responsible for the protection of its data, whether it is hosted on-premise or in the cloud. Sila’s cybersecurity team brings a demonstrated track record of helping Fortune 500 clients and federal agencies succeed at solving complex business problems related to cybersecurity, in particular IGA and PAM,” said Dave Burg, Principal, Ernst & Young LLP and the EY Americas Cybersecurity Leader.

The Sila cybersecurity team brings deep domain experience and the technical, analytical and project management skills needed to bring complex solutions to life.

EY US will acquire a number of key assets including leading cyber delivery methodologies, a robust proprietary training curriculum, and a host of proven accelerators for implementing and configuring IGA solutions. Sila’s approach is based in the principles and leading practices of a range of complementary security areas for holistic, interdisciplinary solutions that address both business and technical needs.

Sila Managing Director Monica Sagrario, also speaking on behalf of fellow Managing Directors Tapan Shah and Scott Smith, said, “Our people and solutions paired with the EY global network and robust capabilities will allow us to support our commercial and federal clients in more ways than ever before. Our team is pleased to join EY US and to explore what we can accomplish together as we work collectively to further enhance the capabilities of the globally-recognized EY cybersecurity practice.”

Sila is well-known for its deep technical skills across a number of technologies, including SailPoint, a market leader in IGA. Sila and EY US are both SailPoint Delivery Admirals, with EY US having entered into an alliance agreement with SailPoint earlier this year. The SailPoint “Delivery Admiral” distinction is awarded to a limited number of partners and recognizes a proven history of successful identity governance implementations.

“We are excited that the Sila cybersecurity team and EY are coming together to leverage SailPoint’s industry-leading identity governance solutions.” said Mark McClain, SailPoint CEO and co-founder. “We believe clients will see even more impactful and transformative coordination between EY and SailPoint.”

Sila will continue to operate in the strategy and transformation, software engineering and integration, data solutions and analytics, and digital and creative spaces with professionals based in Seattle, WA, and Shelton, CT.
