Irdeto Adds McCarthy as COO of Video (MESA)

Digital platform security specialist Irdeto has brought on Shane McCarthy as its COO of its video entertainment business, where he’ll oversee the strategy of that division.
McCarthy comes to Irdeto after spending five years as an entrepreneur and consultant in the media and entertainment and technology arenas, and previously spent nine years working at set-top company Pace.
“As our market and customers evolve, it’s important that Irdeto evolves in tandem to continue to ensure optimal security and service to our current and future customers,” said Doug Lowther, Irdeto’s CEO. “The creation of the COO role is designed to do this while advancing Irdeto’s global business. Shane McCarthy brings a wealth of experience to Irdeto which will be invaluable in further accelerating our progress.”
