Alvarez & Marsal Appoint Christopher Kulp to Lead Procurement, Sourcing Practice (MESA)

Alvarez & Marsal announced that Christopher Kulp has joined the Private Equity Services Group as a Managing Director in New York to lead the Procurement and Sourcing practice. Mr. Kulp’s appointment highlights A&M’s commitment to creating value for clients through transforming sourcing, procurement and the broader supply chain.

Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Kulp served as a Partner with PRTM Management Consultants and PwC, advising Fortune 2000 companies and private equity portfolio owners on EBITDA improvement and capability growth. Mr. Kulp led the Industrial Products Aerospace and Defense Operations Team served as a leader in PwC’s Industrial Sourcing Practice. There, he focused on complex products and services for supply chain, sourcing and procurement in highly complex markets.

In his role at PwC, Mr. Kulp also led the development of procurement and sourcing offerings tailored to high growth services industries, such as insurance, banking and business services, to support private equity and service industry clients’ evolving demands.

With more than 26 years of experience, Mr. Kulp is recognized for his expertise in direct and indirect sourcing, category management, procurement optimization, make/buy strategies, working capital improvement, aftermarket/warranty optimization and broader operational improvement. Over the last six years, Mr. Kulp has led sourcing and procurement initiatives covering more than $3.5 billion of direct spending and added over $600 million of bottom line value.

Mr. Kulp earned a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Lehigh University and a master’s degree in Business Administration in finance and operations from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business.
