Quality assurance (QA) and testing services firm Eurofins Digital Testing has picked up a new client, providing automated QA and device interoperability testing for smart home solutions by Belgian-based company Niko
Niko will employ Eurofins’ testwizard system for their IoT home automation system, Niko Home Control, a central control system for the house that can be managed using either a touchscreen, or via smartphone and tablet devices. The system provides consumers with the ability to manage entertainment, lighting, heating, ventilation, energy consumption and more.
“At the forefront of IoT innovation is home automation, and globally, Niko is leading the way,” said Johan Craeybeckx, business line director for Eurofins Digital Testing International. “Niko has a significant smart home footprint across Europe and through distributors around the globe, so we are very proud that they have selected Eurofins Digital Testing as their end-to-end quality assurance testing partner.”
Luc Rottiers, R&D validation manager for Niko, added: “Our customers expect their smart homes to work flawlessly, and to make that happen, our product and interoperability testing is paramount. We chose Eurofins’ testwizard because of its versatility and scalability. Eurofins enables us to automate tests and provides us with a platform for continuous monitoring and improvement for today and into the future.”

For both service providers and device manufacturers, Eurofins Digital Testing provides smart home interoperability testing across a range of home automation and IoT products, along with automated testing of TV set-top boxes, web applications, mobile devices and web services.
