AI, Content Protection, Metadata: M&E Day Returns to NYC July 25

Employing artificial intelligence and machine learning. Managing major productions in the cloud. Constant content protection and cybersecurity challenges. The effective use of metadata to better connect with consumers.

Experts from all corners of the media and entertainment (M&E) industry will tackle these topics and more Thursday, July 25, when the Media & Entertainment Services Alliance (MESA) hosts it’s multi-track Media & Entertainment Day at the Microsoft Building on Eighth Avenue in New York City.

More than 300 people are expected to attend, with access to two tracks of programming geared toward providing the East Coast M&E community with insights into both the latest metadata, AI and data trends in the industry (Smart Content East), and how studios, networks and all content owners are evolving their efforts to combat piracy and cybercrime (Content Protection Summit East).

Speakers from Microsoft, Viacom, HBO, Azure, MarkLogic and more will offer attendees insights on crucial topics including “Wrangling Content to Maximize the Consumer Experience,” “Smart Analytics with AI,” “How Threat Intelligence Protects M&E Content,” “The Security Impact of Emerging M&E Technologies” and more.

The Media & Entertainment Day is being produced by the Media & Entertainment Services Alliance (MESA), in association with the Content Delivery & Security Association (CDSA), the Hollywood IT Society (HITS) and the Smart Content Council, and is presented by Microsoft, with sponsorship by Akamai, MarkLogic, the Entertainment ID Registry (EIDR) and the Trusted Partner Network (TPN).
