Convergent Risks Announces ‘Demonstrating Privacy Compliance’ Initiative (CDSA)

Convergent Risks announced its ‘Privacy Control Framework & Requirements for Implementation’ initiative which provides a structure for managing personal data that a business can use to demonstrate compliance with the requirements of the GDPR (EU General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679) and the CCPA (California Consumer Privacy Act 2018), coming in to force Jan 1, 2020.

Stephanie Iyayi, Senior Vice President, Business and Legal Affairs at Convergent Risks said: “Global regulators are increasingly expecting privacy management to be embedded throughout an organization. The most effective, efficient and scalable approach is to implement and maintain one consistent privacy management program that maps to multiple laws.”

Stephanie went on to say: “By complying with Convergent’s framework, you will be clearly stating that you take data privacy seriously and are managing it in accordance with industry best practice. It offers a comprehensive industry neutral listing of privacy management activities that can be monitored and tracked, structured into clear categories. We perform compliance assessments and gap analysis on client’s specific departments, individual offices or across entire operations globally. We provide comprehensive reports of our findings tailored specifically to each organisation, which can be shared with third parties to provide GDPR or CCPA program evidence. Adopting our framework can help to support regulatory compliance with data protection legislation, identify and manage risks to personal information, enhance customer loyalty and protect your reputation.”
