Prime Focus Technologies announced that it will showcase major updates to DAX® Production Cloud at the Media Production Show 2019 in London. The software will further empower Media & Entertainment (M&E) enterprises with secure workflows for collaborating and sharing content across the Production supply chain.

Based on the patented DAX with Digital Dailies®, CLEAR’s DAX Production Cloud provides ONE software for all stakeholders across the Production supply chain. It serves as a singular repository for all media & ancillary files, and offers a robust player and online NLE, along with powerful tools to share, collaborate & manage Production supply chain processes. These include on-set Dailies, Post Production cuts, Editorial, VFX (pull downs), Marketing (trailers), Localization and Distribution (Screeners). The software handily supports workflows for all variants of both scripted and unscripted content.

The latest version of DAX Production Cloud delivers a new Asset Share feature that enables users to collaborate seamlessly and share sensitive content with both DAX and non-DAX users in a fast, simple and secure manner; through links that automatically expire when you need them to. This will remove major barriers experienced by core creatives, many of whom are not named users on the asset management system. Other upgrades include a powerful Administration tool, which gives users more control than any other Production system.

From basic to completely custom folder structures to any conceivable watermarking variation to email/notification settings and more, DAX Administration is as simple or as granular as users need it to be. Lastly, the software’s Virtual Playlist Editor delivers an intuitive­­, powerful cloud NLE to create custom playlists for all teams – including compiling selects, circle takes, promo/marketing clips and sizzle reels.
