Applicaster Powers Copa America 2019 App, Online Fan Experience

Media and TV app development solution experts Applicaster is powering both the mobile app and web experience for the CONMEBOL Copa America 2019 soccer tournament, aiming to provide up-to-date news, videos and statistics from the games to viewers worldwide.
The official app — available for both iOS and Android devices — and website will also include team line-ups, match schedules and venue information, and give users the ability to purchase tickets and official merchandise.
“CONMEBOL has carefully selected every feature and function to make their digital assets an experience where all fans can connect, enjoy, and keep up to date with all things Copa America,” said Patrick Stuart, senior director of sports for Applicaster. “At Applicaster we are very proud to support CONMEBOL with one of the most complete and disruptive apps we have ever seen in support of an international tournament. Taking place in six different venues across five major Brazilian cities, the CONMEBOL Copa America 2019 will be well-supported by the Applicaster app, capturing real-time updates from the field, integrating with social media platforms (Twitter and Instagram), and giving users the ability to select topics they’re interested in following during the competition, by selecting favorite teams and players. The app syncs to a live statistics provider as well, displaying tournament records such as possession goals, corners, players in the field, and more.
“Conmebol Copa America is the oldest tournament in the world,” said Hugo Figueredo, competition director of Conmebol clubs. “It has made the whole continent vibrate for over 100 years and we are very excited that this year we can reach all South American fans through various platforms.”
