HITS Spring: Richey May, New Wave Offer Content Protection Lessons

For the May 23 HITS Spring event at the Sheraton Universal Hotel in Los Angeles, JT Gaietto, executive director of Richey May Technology Solutions’ cybersecurity practice, and Rick Nowak, COO of New Wave Entertainment, will take the stage for the breakout session “Maturing your Content Protection Strategy: Lessons Learned from New Wave Entertainment.”

“Content security is now of critical importance to content creators,” Gaietto said. “Rick will share real-world lessons learned from the challenges in content security and how to manage them, from meeting the demands of clients and studios to keeping his employees and creative talent focused on the magic of entertainment.”

The discussion will cover the lesson New Wave learned while it developed an updated content protection strategy, one that’s in full alignment with the security of the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) and the Trusted Partner Network (TPN), the industrywide content security initiative. Nowak will offer insights into the impacts New Wave’s content protection strategy had on everything from budgets and technologies, to employees and workflows.

HITS Spring is presented by Entertainment Partners, with sponsorship by LiveTiles, 5th Kind, Amazon Web Services, Birlasoft, Exactuals, Expert System, MarkLogic, Microsoft Azure, Richey May Technology Solutions, SoftServe, Spark Digital, Avanade, CDSA, Cinelytic, EIDR, MicroStrategy, Signiant, the Trusted Partner Network, human-I-T, and Zaszou IT Consulting.
