HITS Spring: Spark Digital to Look at the Future of Geotargeting

From targeting content within a physical space to localizing content for global markets, using time and place data to get compelling, targeted content to customers is more important than ever before.

That’s the message Chris Cali, co-founder and managing partner of Spark Digital, will bring to attendees at the May 23 HITS Spring event at the Sheraton Universal Hotel in Los Angeles, in the presentation “Meet Them Where They Are: The Future of Geotargeting Around the Corner and Around the World.”

Cali will be joined by Brian DeBoer, VP of technology for Fox Networks Group, and Justin Kahn, executive director of global retail, experience, and tours technology for Warner Bros. Entertainment, as they examine micro and macro case studies of geo-targeting, and look at the future of geo-targeted content and promotions.

“Attendees can expect to learn about geo-targeting on a micro scale and a macro scale and what those applications have in common,” Cali said. “On the micro side, they’ll learn how WB uses geo-beacons to deliver content to guests on their studio tour. On the macro side, they’ll learn how FOX localizes content, especially sporting events.

“We’ll have a future-facing discussion about how geo-targeting might evolve in the industry at the micro, mid and macro levels, as well as how data gleaned from these technologies will empower a new future for the M&E industry.”
