NAB 2019: Prime Focus Technologies Wins Two Prominent Awards (MESA)

Prime Focus Technologies was the recipient of two highly-acclaimed awards at the recently concluded NAB Show 2019. The company’s transformational CLEAR Vision Cloud was awarded NAB Show Product of the Year award and TV Technology’s Best of Show Award under the ‘AI/Machine Learning’ category.
PFT’s media recognition AI engine, CLEAR Vision Cloud, leverages Machine Wisdom technology to deliver data and automation that is highly accurate, relevant and actionable. It powers ready to use AI-led Micro Services that have been custom-made for solving strategic Media & Entertainment (M&E) business use cases. These include ad segment identification, highlight package creation in real-time, assistance for promo creation and playout monitoring.
Vision Cloud’s AI-led technology for Scene Description automatically identifies the key components that make up a scene – including faces, actions, transcripts etc. along with scene boundaries. It extracts deep descriptive metadata and helps promo editors locate interesting clips at lightning speed. Vision Cloud can identify complex sequences, actions and signature dialogues which off-the-shelf AI engines cannot identify. Vision Cloud also creates Play-lists with auto discovered suggestions of clips based on different themes. This makes operations like promo creation far more efficient, resulting in valuable time and cost savings.

TV Technology’s Best of Show Awards recognize outstanding products and technology of the past year in the media and broadcast space. Winners were judged at NAB 2019 in Las Vegas based on a written entry as well as an onsite evaluation.
