And every corner at risk will be discussed April 7 at the Westgate Hotel in Las Vegas, when the Cybersecurity & Content Protection Summit returns to the NAB Show, with a half-day program filled with technology, business and policy updates all centered around cybersecurity and securing your content.
Highlighting the event are three cybersecurity experts delivering keynotes, including retired Rear Adm. David Simpson, U.S. Navy, and former chief of the Federal Communication Commission’s Public Safety and Homeland Security Bureau (“Securing the Future of Media & Entertainment”); Nonny de la Peña, founder and CEO of Emblematic Group and an award-winning filmmaker and Journalist (“Is that Real? The Threat & Opportunity of Deep Fakes?”; and Clete Johnson, senior fellow at the Center for Strategic International Studies, (CSIS) and partner with Wilkinson Barker Knauer (“Is the Media & Entertainment Industry Critical Infrastructure?”).
Hollywood’s top cybersecurity and content protection vendors will be on hand as well, sharing their insights into the threats the industry is facing today (and how to handle them), with presentations from Alex Nauda, CTO of SHIFT and Screeners.com (“What Keeps us up at Night? A Content Sharing Vendor’s Threat Models”); Patrick Sullivan, security manager with Akamai (“Credential Stuffing: Your Brand is at Risk”); Michael Klint Borozan, worldwide security industry leader with IBM Security (“How the Weather Channel Built Digital Trust”); Michael Gamble, SVP of customer service for Media Science International (“A Revolution in Digital Watermarking”); Joel Sloss, senior lead of media and entertainment security for Microsoft Azure (“Get it to the Cloud”); and the team at Convergent Risks (“Reducing the Fog of Cyber Warfare”).
A collection of industry association execs will share how their organizations — and how individual efforts — are playing a critical role in tackling challenging workflows and distribution models, providing a foundation for infrastructure security, with Sam Matheny, CTO of the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB), Mark Harrison, managing director of the Digital Production Partnership (DPP), J.C. Lee, chairman of the technical committee for the North American Broadcasters Association (NABA), and Jason Thibeault, executive director of the Streaming Video Alliance, on hand for the panel “Setting the Standards and Systems for Securing Media & Entertainment.”
Craig Seidel, SVP of distribution technology for MovieLabs (“Looking Ahead to Next-Generation Piracy”), Mark Jackson, scientific lead of business development for Cambridge Quantum Computing (“Quantum Computing and the Future of Content Security”), Peter Van Peenen, technology consultant with Pearl TV (“Securing Next-Gen TV”), and Lulu Zezza, VP and treasurer with the Content Delivery & Security Association (CDSA) (“Securing Film and Television Productions”) will all be on stage as well.
