Winter M&E Journal Digital Edition Goes Live

The digital version of the winter edition of the Media & Entertainment Services Alliance’s “M&E Journal,” featuring more than 40 original M&E thought pieces from executives ranging from Ad-ID to ZOO Digital, is now live.

Along with columns from MESA’s leadership, the issue features several industry pieces centered around the issue’s main theme, monetization, along with sections with articles identifying the latest trends in workflows, smart content, cloud and storage, and security solutions.

Among the highlights in this issue’s monetization section:

• “Digital Disruption is Underway,” a look at the complex world of today’s content monetization strategies by Microsoft’s Jennifer Cooper.

• “A Holographic Future: Creating and Monetizing the Next Generation of Media Using Blockchain,” with OTOY’s Kalin Stoyanchev and Phillip Gara looking at two large-scale transformations: virtualization and decentralization.

• “Applying Machine Learning and Analytics to Maximize the Value of Your Media Assets,” by Amazon Web Services’ Hector Leano, where he looks at the principle challenge facing M&E companies with large content archives: surfacing relevant content.

• “Transforming Pay TV for Long-Term Success,” a look at next-gen solutions that will open up new revenue streams, by NAGRA’s Simon Trudelle.

Over the coming weeks and months, MESA will be spotlighting each of the article published in the “M&E Journal” with republication in its newsletters and via MESAlliance.org.
