Box Names Former SAP Concur Executive as New European SVP (HITS)

Cloud content management firm Box has named Chris Baker as its new SVP and GM of Europe and the Middle East (EMEA), bringing the industry vet over from SAP Concur, where he served four years as managing director. “Growth in international markets is fundamental to our long-term strategy,” said Box COO Stephanie Carullo. “We’re excited to welcome Chris to help drive our European business forward. His strong track-record in delivering results, most recently at SAP Concur, and his experience in building vibrant, high-growth businesses across EMEA, will help him in our goal of expanding Box’s presence in this key region.”
At SAP Concur Baker was responsible for the company’s growth in the U.K., Ireland, France, Africa, Middle East, Nordics and Benelux regions, where during his tenure he tripled revenues and managed the organization of hundreds of employees via the SAP acquisition.
Box said Baker’s hire signals its continued expansion into Europe and the Middle East, with a newly opened European headquarters in London, and expanded regional offices in Munich, Paris, Amsterdam, and more. Before Concur, Baker held various roles at Sun Microsystems, Microsoft and Salesforce.
