Dolby Names Pendleton as Chief Marketing Officer (MESA)

Dolby announced the appointment of Todd Pendleton, a marketing leader with a track record of strengthening brands and accelerating revenue growth at globally recognized companies, as its Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer. “Todd’s experience, passion for Dolby and visionary leadership make him the ideal choice for our CMO role,” said Dolby President and CEO Kevin Yeaman. “I am excited about Todd’s passion and ability to accelerate our success as we continue to bring spectacular experiences to more people around the world.”

“Through its audio and imaging technologies, Dolby has defined how the creative community tells it stories and brings amazing experiences to life in the cinema, the home and on the go,” said Todd Pendleton. “The opportunity to showcase how Dolby truly sits at the intersection of art and science is a marketer’s dream.”

During his 15-years at Nike in Marketing, Pendleton held country, regional, and global leadership roles working across North America, Europe, and Asia. Under his leadership, brand and product group awareness grew at both a regional and global scale.

As CMO of Samsung North America, Pendleton led the brand’s transformation and repositioned the mobile business. The Samsung Galaxy was relaunched, linking the brand to cultural moments and giving it a new voice and story. This resulted in record growth for its mobile business, becoming the fastest growing social brand and delivering four-fold domestic revenue growth in less than four years.

Most recently, at his marketing firm Defi/9 – a first of its kind holistic marketing and creative solutions company – Todd developed innovative strategies and campaigns enabling new ways to connect with consumers and drive business growth for a range of industries and initiatives including Roc Nation, Tidal, LeEco, and Bono’s Revo sunglass line and philanthropic program.

Pendleton earned his degree in Political Science and International Business from Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts.
