The Media & Entertainment Services Alliance (MESA) and MarkLogic will host a unique webinar July 18, exploring how bringing together the data (including the operational and enterprise data) around content truly results in Smart Content.
The webinar — “Smart Content Connecting the Data Behind the Hits with Sony Pictures” — will serve as an encore to Sony Pictures’ presentation from May’s HITS Spring event in Los Angeles.
Along with Guy Finley, executive director of MESA, Robert Maxwell, VP of information technology for worldwide television and Sony Pictures Entertainment, and Matt Turner, CTO of media and manufacturing for MarkLogic, will be on hand to discuss the work Sony Pictures Entertainment has done by using content to data to streamline the distribution process, using a new approach to managing release packaging, billing data and tackling other key data projects.
Using MarkLogic’s Enterprise NoSQL and the Operational Data Hub pattern solutions, the studio has shown how enterprise data projects can integrate data from mainframes and legacy systems to fulfill the promise of Smart Content.
