Redbox Looks to Mediamorph for Avails Management, Supply Chain Automation (SCN)

Movie kiosk and online streaming operator Redbox has announced a new partnership with cloud-based enterprise software firm Mediamorph, with Redbox using Mediamorph’s platform to better manage content from its content partners.

Redbox — which rents DVDs, Blu-rays and video game discs in 41,500-plus self-service kiosks — launched a new online streaming service, Redbox On Demand, in December. The partnership with Mediamorph will help the company better manage both avails management and pricing for content for the streaming service, according to Lowell Bike, director of product management for Redbox.

“With the launch of Redbox On Demand, we sought out a partner to help streamline our avails management, content ordering and pricing management processes,” Bike said. “By leveraging Mediamorph’s cloud solution and industry-specific systems, we can seamlessly scale our content offering and ramp up to support consumer demand.”

Rob Gardos, CEO of Mediamorph, added: “We are thrilled to support Redbox as it expands its growing digital content library and look forward to helping the company add even more titles to the Redbox On Demand offering, Using Mediamorph’s solutions, Redbox will be able to quickly scale, bringing more content and the right mix of offers to its customers.”

The Redbox On Demand service is available via the Redbox website, as well as the Redbox app on Android and iOS devices, Roku, Apple TV, Chromecast, and LG and Samsung smart TVs.
