Wipro, HPE to Deliver Consumption-Based IT Solution

Wipro and Hewlett Packard Enterprise have announced a new joint partnership, one that has the companies delivering an on-premises IT infrastructure solution, featuring flexible, consumption-based pricing.

The unique, pay-per-use model comes thanks to a combination of HPE’s Flexible Capacity hybrid IT service and Wipro’s infrastructure-as-a-service offering, with the joint solution aiming to address increasing customer demand for less-expensive IT solutions.

“Businesses need an agile IT foundation that can scale up quickly to accommodate growth and power new initiatives,” said Olivier Suinat, SVP of global sales for HPE. “Our collaboration with Wipro delivers the agility and economics of a public-cloud experience with the control and performance benefits of on-premises IT.”

The partnership builds on a 20-year relationship between the two companies, with Wipro and HPE previously aligning their respective technology and services offerings into other go-to-market initiatives. The new solution promises to offer a unique on-prem service that offers the benefits of cloud solutions, including higher security and compliance, but at a lower, pay-per-use cost.

“We are very excited about our collaboration with Hewlett Packard Enterprise on the consumption based IT model,” said Kiran Desai, SVP and head of global infrastructure services for Wipro. “We are confident that this business model will help us fulfill the requirements of our customers for truly on-demand, agile and secure IT infrastructure.”
