Pivotal, Cognizant Launch Enterprise-Scale Cloud Adoption Initiative

Cloud-native platform company Pivotal and professional services firm Cognizant have announced a new partnership aimed at enabling large businesses to more quickly adopt and deploy cloud-based applications, software platforms and infrastructure at enterprise scales.
The joint initiative will see Pivotal’s Cloud Foundry — an open source, multi-cloud application platform as a service (PaaS) — paired with Cognizant’s application engineering expertise, with Cognizant licensing technologies from Pivotal, as well as gaining access to resources via Pivotal’s Platform Acceleration Lab. Cognizant will also train consultants and customers on Pivotal’s cloud-native re-platforming approach.
The deal also calls for Cognizant’s Digital Business capabilities to be integrated with Pivotal’s software development methodology, with the goal of helping clients accelerate their digital initiatives.
The two companies first began collaborating in 2015.
