Wipro, Reltio Link Up on Master Data Management

A pair of MESA (Media & Entertainment Services Alliance) members have formed a partnership that aims to develop faster master data management (MDM) solutions, tackling data challenges with better use of next-gen technologies like NoSQL, analytics and machine learning.

Information tech and business process services company Wipro’s work in machine learning and global MDM implementation will be paired with data management platform as a service (PaaS) specialist Reltio’s big data technology to help both companies’ clients “bridge the gap between data and insights, by boosting the reliability of information, while ensuring users get access to relevant data,” a joint statement reads. The pairing also promises to offer easy integration with Reltio Cloud and its built-in data-as-a-service, opening up access to third-party data sources.

“We are excited to partner with Reltio, which has superior technology offerings for next-generation master data management,” said Pallab Deb, VP and global head of analytics for Wipro. “Wipro’s experience in global MDM implementations and machine learning coupled with Reltio’s big data technology and unique commercial graph offering will help our clients decipher complex relationships between their customers, accounts and products. And significantly improve how they derive business benefits out of big data insights,”

The reasoning behind the partnership can be found in recent Gartner research, which finds that the MDM ESP market is still in its “adolescent phase of maturity,” with market penetration of less than 20% of the possible industry audience.

“Wipro has differentiated expertise in delivering best-in-class MDM implementations across industry sectors. Using their rich experience in MDM and Reltio’s modern data management platform and data-driven applications, organizations can truly unlock the power of their data and successfully address complex business challenges,” said Vasu Vallurupalli, VP of alliances for Reltio.
