Ad-ID Webinar to Address Cross-Platform Ad Challenges

A group of entertainment industry experts will be on hand in a webinar July 26 to tackle one of the industry’s biggest challenges today: breaking down the walls between platforms (broadcast, online, OTT, mobile, etc.) to have ad assets run efficiently, and with simple access to real-time measurement for stakeholders.

Hosted by Ad-ID— the industry-wide standard for identifying ad assets across media platforms — the event will look at Ad-ID’s role in simplifying advertising, along with a look at the Interactive Advertising Bureau’s (IAB) Digital Video Ad Serving Template (VAST) 4.0, which calls for the use of Ad-ID as the creative identifier across systems.

“This webinar will address how Ad-ID enables advertising across video platforms, and the important role Ad-ID plays in today’s cross platform media consumption world,” said Harold Geller, chief growth officer for Ad-ID, and moderator of the webinar.

Geller will be joined by Jarred Wilichinsky, VP of video monetization and operations for CBS Interactive; Ray Sweha, senior product manager of video integration and transcoding for FreeWheel; Julian Zilberbrand, EVP of audience science for Viacom; Alanna Gombert, GM of IAB Tech Lab; and Lindsay Smith, director of product management and operations for Ad-ID.

They’ll look at why Ad-ID registration truly isn’t an option anymore, but instead a necessity in today’s cross-platform media consumption reality. They’ll examine how mezzanine formats, how Nielsen is involved, the timeline for uptake of VAST 4.0, why agencies should care about VAST, and best practices in code creation for cross platform use of Ad-ID codes.
