MESA and DEG Announce Academy on UltraViolet: May 16 in Los Angeles

The membership of the Media & Entertainment Services Alliance (MESA) and DEG: The Digital Entertainment Group will be holding an event on May 16 at the Luxe Sunset Boulevard Hotel in Los Angeles to provide an authoritative update on the latest technology developments that are driving the implementation and advancement of UltraViolet.

“As a big believer and supporter of UltraViolet, the DEG is pleased to partner with MESA on the inaugural Academy on UltraViolet,” says Amy Jo Smith, Executive Director, DEG: The Digital Entertainment Group. “We look forward to sharing the many opportunities that UltraViolet offers in helping to grow the home entertainment category.”

Leading service and technology providers who are deeply involved in the rollout of the UV ecosystem and backbone will take the stage to answer questions by their peers and provide insights and updates about the behind the scenes activities that will lead to widespread adoption of the UV digital locker system initiative.

“MESA is excited to work with DEG and DECE to bring together studios and supply chain partners together for this important, industry-only event,” says Guy Finley, MESA Executive Director, who serves as Conference Chair. “The Academy is a forum specifically designed to engage this community in a productive dialogue on developing new technologies and building efficiencies in the creation, production, and distribution of UltraViolet titles.”

Stay tuned for programming announcements in the coming weeks. For program information, contact Guy Finley, Conference Chair, at (917) 513-5963 or [email protected]. To register for the event, visit www.ultravioletacademy.com.
