As an IBM Cloud Software Security Developer, the candidate will embrace and contribute to some of the hottest Open Source projects in the world. They’ll use the latest tools and technologies available to deliver state-of-the-art software services as part of IBM’s exploding Cloud business. Using agile and lean approaches, the candidate will be responsible for creating software that is expertly designed, tested, and ready for IBM’s best-of-breed solutions.
We’re looking to build a team of Cloud software security development experts.
Main responsibilities:
* Develop and implement security Application Program Interface (API) and infrastructure
* Lead best practice development and assist in driving compliance
* Assist in defining programmatic risk assessment systems
* Development of key security functions and services
* Assist in the development of reference architecture for services. Do you have what it takes?
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- 2 years of software development experience
- 1 years of experience in security development (Cloud or non-Cloud)
- Basic knowledge in scripting with one of the following (JavaScript, Perl, Python, Bash, etc.)
- Basic knowledge in Cloud or equivalent data center experience (Bluemix, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud, Openstack, VMware, Azure)
- Basic knowledge in programming (C, C++, Java)
Preferred Technical and Professional Experience
- Basic knowledge in networking protocols (Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP), Secure Sockets Layer (SSL), Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP), etc.)
- Basic knowledge in encryption libraries and export controls
- Basic knowledge in network security (enterprise architecture or data center)
