Western Digital, already an extensive consumer of cloud services, is seeking an experienced cloud information security expert to focus on our cloud security practice. As we continue to expand our SaaS, IaaS, and PaaS engagements across a broad spectrum of providers, we are continuing to develop scalable and repeatable architectures and processes that will enable our business to securely introduce new services with decisiveness and confidence.

Members of Western Digital’s Information Security organization are expected to be well-rounded security practitioners with balanced technical, process, and communication skills. As a senior security professional and cloud security subject matter expert, you will be required to use your skills and experience to partner with multiple IT peer organizations and internal client groups in the pursuit of achieving business enabling architectures and solutions that protect the enterprise from unnecessary risk.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain architectural standards for cloud service security
Act as primary cloud security partner for IT Infrastructure, Apps, Big Data, and other teams
Perform risk assessments of proposed cloud services and present results to stakeholders
Create a process for continuous risk assessment of existing cloud services and connectors
Partner with the Western Digital SOC to promote monitoring and compliance validation
Participate in the creation and maintenance of corporate security policies and procedures
Participate in company acquisition integrations with a focus on cloud service consolidation

Requirements – Priorities

5+ years Info Security experience and 10+ years technology experience
Significant experience and expertise with AWS IaaS security
Meaningful experience and expertise with public cloud SaaS and PaaS security
Fundamental knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 and Azure security
Clear understanding of SSO technologies and related namespaces
Strong knowledge of security principles across all CISSP domains
Strong knowledge and in-depth understanding of virtualization technologies
Practical knowledge of computer operating systems including Windows and Linux
Practical knowledge of fundamental networking and access controls for cloud services
Proven ability to conduct security assessments of cloud services and solutions
Proven ability to author consumable reports of security findings
Excellent interpersonal and professional relationship skills
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
Advanced education in technology such as Computer Science or Information Security
