Purpose
It’s an amazing time to be working at Box, especially for product managers. We are a big enough company to have the ability to execute large-scale deliverables. And just small enough that you can play an important role in that delivery. With millions of users on our platform, we have an opportunity to ship products that will change the way that people work. It’s with that backdrop that we’re hiring a product manager for our world-class Mobile Team. Mobile exploded for consumer products in the last 5+ years, but we’re just scratching the surface in the enterprise. Box is in a great position to lead and define how the enterprise mobile space will unfold because our products are tightly embedded with the world’s best companies, which includes over 60% of the Fortune 500.
Why the team needs you 
We’re adding to our mobile product team someone who has a real interest/background in mobile security. Security/control is a major issue for mobile adoption in a world where many companies have bring-your-own-device policies. It’s a complicated area that involves the OS players, independent EMM/MAM vendors and our own product security features. And with this, of course, comes the challenge of continuing to make our user experiences great. We’re looking for someone to come in and take the lead on the mobile front and who can also serve as a resource for the rest of the team.

Who you are 
You’re a product person through and through. You care deeply about how your products materially make your customers’ lives better. And you understand the business and the analytics/metrics that drive success. You bring that ethos to work every day, where you work collaboratively with design, analytics, and engineering team members to bring amazing products to market.
Here’s the fine print:
  • You’ve got 2-4 years under your belt as a product manager where you’ve worked at a top-tier consumer or enterprise software company
  • Substantive mobile product experience in some form is a good baseline
  • Mobile security experience preferred: you’re familiar with MDM, MAM, EMM and how these concepts relate to mobile app building
  • You want to be an amazing product manager and you have a good awareness of what you do well on this front and where you’d like to grow
  • You have a technical background (CS degree etc.)
