Job Summary:
We have an exceptional opportunity for an experienced Content Security Manager in Media and Entertainment, responsible for managing the Content Security of the Disney ABC Television Group’s (DATG) portfolio of channels and business segments across a global footprint.

The Manager, Studio Content Security reports into the Senior Manager, Business Engagement & Advisory as part of the Content & Information Security team at The Walt Disney Studios based in Burbank, California.

Responsibilities:

Manage governance and execution of DATG Content Security policies with domestic and international business units and colleagues by:
Overseeing maintenance, update, and/or development of new policies to address observed risks
Managing publishing and distribution of DATG Content Security policies and security guidelines to business units
Maintain/Enhance DATG security posture through development and implementation of security measures spanning physical and digital domains throughout production and distribution lifecycles, including, but not limited to, digital camera data storage and ingest, dailies, offline editorial, conform, color grading, visual effects, sound design, mixing, music production, mastering, and delivery
Partner with business units to help them understand and navigate through complexities associated with the exposure of handling pre-release assets and confidential information
Leverage cross-functional subject matter expertise across the Studio Content & Information Security team to ensure that information regarding application & cloud security, 3rd party site security, internal facility security, and business requirements are applied to active business workflows and policies
Liaise with third-party post-production vendors and security consultants to develop and implement industry leading practices to secure DATG IP
Drive adoption of security practices through delivery of Content Security training to TV production and post-production teams as needed
Maintain security requirement awareness of consumer consumption platforms and devices
Serve as the security Subject Matter Expert (SME) by:
Proactively engaging in industry research to maintain knowledge of current and evolving technologies in the TV production and distribution environment
Remaining well-versed in standard and emerging industry workflows for on-set production, post production, marketing, broadcast, and streaming
Studying emerging technology trends and evaluate impact on current business, technology or projects
Liaise with internal technology teams to aid the definition of user stories, system enhancements, solution selection, and product features
Drive risk management activities for the segment using DATG’s risk management framework including security exception requests
Manage content fingerprinting and forensic watermarking workflows
Assist in content breach incident investigations and subsequent reporting to executive management
Coordinate content security efforts for high-profile internal and industry events
Document content workflows across the pre-air/pre-release creative and business lifecycle and perform risk analysis

Basic Qualifications:

Knowledge of secure digital media distribution technologies and workflows, e.g., Aspera, Signiant, Smartjog, etc.
Extensive knowledge of production and post-production workflows
Extensive knowledge of systems and network security

Extensive knowledge of content encoding, file-based workflows, digital asset management, media formats and encryption techniques

Awareness of multi-platform consumer distribution platforms, e.g., Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, etc.

Ability to adapt to new technologies and trends
Ability to work in a dynamic evolving environment on an international scale
Solid business acumen
Knowledge of studio IT systems, including production and post-productions environments
Thorough knowledge of feature film production and post-production industries, services, and workflows (e.g., editing, visual/audio effects, encoding, dubbing, DVD/BD replication)
Five years’ experience successfully managing content security in a television or theatrical production environment would be preferred

Preferred Education

CISSP, CISM certification is a plus
