The Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) is responsible for developing and implementing information systems security policies and procedures in coordination with government agencies and Adobe Systems Federal LLC’s (ASF) Security leadership to ensure compliance with all applicable government security directives associated with ASF’s security programs. This position requires independent judgment and discretion, as well as the identification, analysis and resolution of security-related matters.

This role must be staffed from the McLean office in Tyson’s Corner.

What you’ll do

Installing new software releases, performing system upgrades, evaluating and installing patches and lead troubleshooting of issues.
Maintaining connectivity and availability of systems for users.
Supports, designs, implements, and monitors desktop & server technologies.
Daily system administration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and monitoring functions for all parts of the system infrastructure.
Works on critical infrastructure related projects and troubleshoots performance issues and provides design and architecture input for future operating configurations and upgrades.
Using Federal Assessment and Authorization (A&A) processes to research, verify and document information security controls in order for the “systems” to be accredited.
Develop and maintain System Security Plans (SSP) and additional A&A documentation.
Conduct system risk assessments and develop Plan of Actions and Milestones (POA&M) and mitigation strategies for potential vulnerabilities.
Assist with compliance reviews and conduct audits to ensure information systems (IS) maintain the authorization baseline.
Coordinate and implement IS security policies processes, procedures, and security control techniques.
Ensure that information security requirements, including necessary security controls, are effectively integrated into the enterprise architecture.
Support vulnerability assessments and security test and evaluation.
Assist with the initiation of protective and corrective measures when a security incident or vulnerability is identified; ensure IS security incidents are handled in accordance with established procedures.

What you need to succeed

Bachelor’s Degree or higher preferred – focus in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering or other related technical disciplines ideal.
5+ years’ prior ISSO experience in support of the Federal government required.
Proficiency with Federal government A&A practices and policies, particularly NISP SP 800-53 and ICD 503.
Extensive experience in MS Active Directory/DNS/Windows Server.
Experience with Linux/CentOS/DNS/mail server infrastructure.
Prior experience with (strong working knowledge of) A&A tools and processes highly desired, such as XACTA.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team-based environment – this includes close interaction with Application Developers, Software Engineers and other members of the Adobe Corporate and Federal teams.
Superior communication, written, and organizational skills – ability to effectively document A&A processes – required.
