NAB Show: 5th Kind Adds Dailies Workflow to CORE Platform (MESA)

5th Kind introduced new dailies workflow features to its CORE comprehensive studio asset management platform, the company said April 5, ahead of this year’s NAB Show in Las Vegas.

The company is touting dailies workflow as a “simple and secure solution, combining cutting-edge technologies with a great user experience.” Dailies workflow is “live and currently available,” it said, noting the new solution will be demonstrated at the NAB Show.

Some of the key dailies features include: artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities, such as speech-to-text and facial recognition; Aspera integration for all uploads and downloads; high-speed transcoding to create multiple resolution proxies; Akamai’s Content Delivery Network (CDN) for global high quality streaming; visual and forensic watermarking; one-click access across desktop, mobile and Apple TV; extremely granular access controls that users can manage; infinitely configurable metadata; and multi-factor, signal sign-on (SSO).

“The goal of CORE was to build a system that could cater for the extreme needs of managing a whole studio, down to the specific needs of an individual workflow,” 5th Kind CEO Steve Cronan said in the announcement.

“For the dailies workflow a fast, simple, secure and clean experience that can scale infinitely is key,” he said, adding: “By working closely with our production and studio partners, we’ve been able to deliver the complete package to cater for all security and feature requirements.”

According to 5th Kind, “in short, CORE’s new dailies workflow allows creatives to do what they do best, while giving information security personnel peace of mind.”

Over the last 10 years, 5th Kind has researched, built and refined an integrated platform that addresses the needs across all layers of the production and studio process, it said.

CORE “takes the power of this integrated workflow solution to the next level with a complete rebuild from the ground up, to deliver a range of different experiences based on workflow needs,” 5th Kind said.

At the NAB Show, 5th Kind will be taking part in MESA’s “Take the DAM(n) Tour” and will be hosting meetings in #SL14601MR, [email protected].
