Caringo Sales Accelerate, Industry Veterans Added to Capitalize on Significant Opportunity in 2018 (MESA)

Caringo today announced sales growth of 50% in the fourth quarter of 2017 when compared to the same period in 2016 and upwards of 40% year-over-year growth. This was achieved through a mix of existing customer expansion and new customer acquisitions in the Media and Entertainment, IoT, Government, Research and Financial sectors. To help capitalize on the increased momentum, Caringo also announced the appointments of industry veterans Kiran Agrahara as Principal Solutions Architect and Charles Portnoy as Regional Sales Manager, Federal and Southeast.

Mr. Agrahara brings to Caringo over 20 years of experience as a technologist and solutions architect in the data storage, virtualization, networking and security markets. At Formation Data Systems, he helped develop the world’s first converged data platform for enterprise data centers. Mr. Agrahara received his Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering from the Bangalore Institute of Technology and continued with post-graduate studies at Rutgers Business School.

Mr. Portnoy’s outstanding career spans over 20 years in both sales and executive management positions. He was most recently the Senior Director of Sales at Formation Data Systems where he was responsible for developing and managing worldwide sales for the company. Mr. Portnoy received a BA in Communications, Computer Design Engineering from the State University of New York.
