IBC 2017: Sohonet’s Real-Time Remote Review Tool Now Accessible from Any Location (MESA)

The latest features will give users the capability to operate ClearView Flex outside of the Sohonet Media Network. This exciting update means ClearView Flex users will not be constrained to uploading content exclusively from locations connected to the Sohonet Media Network. Instead they will have the flexibility to stream content from any “off-net” location with decent bandwidth capability and a proper security perimeter.

Additionally, recent software improvements will enable the “Flex Stream” to take full advantage of higher bandwidths that may be available in remote locations whilst still ensuring the near zero latency experience that remains a ClearView Flex hallmark. These updates enable ClearView Flex to offer picture quality for typical laptop configurations over WiFi and even a “studio quality” option requiring a wired connection — both in addition to the original mobile resolution, optimized for 4G/LTE connections.

The new features offer greater flexibility to current ClearView Flex customers, who will now enjoy the benefits of ClearView Flex whilst “on the move” or “in the studio”. Companies, productions and individuals not currently connected to the Sohonet Media Network can also now take full advantage of the time and money saving benefits that ClearView Flex has to offer.

Chuck Parker, CEO of Sohonet said, ‘It’s been fantastic to see media companies using ClearView Flex over the past year to condense their production and post windows whilst still producing incredible content. The latest updates will further support creative talent in working wherever they can be most effective.’

Sohonet will be showcasing ClearView Flex during IBC 2017.
