Cast & Crew Taps Berkley as President

Tech-enabled payroll, accounting and production management solutions provider Cast & Crew has named John Berkley as its president, a newly formed role that sees the veteran technology executive reporting to company CEO Eric Belcher.
Beginning Sept. 5, Berkley will be charged with overseeing a host of Cast & Crew functions, including marketing, product, corporate development and strategy, program management, and the company’s Final Draft business unit. Cast & Crew will be looking to Berkley to grow the Burbank, Calif.-based firm’s overall growth and keep its product portfolio up to speed.

Berkley brings more than two decades of leadership experience in the software and tech sector to the new role, most recently serving as an operating executive with the Menlo Park, Calif.— based technology investment firm SilverLake, a lead investor in Cast & Crew. Previously he served as SVP of product for payment technology company Mercury, where he oversaw product, go-to-market, operations and program management. Before Mercury, Berkley was SVP of product for marketing tech firm Responsys, now owned by Oracle.
